Old News but Good News

About 6 weeks ago I decided it was time to get serious about losing some weight. I had reached my all time high (of which I won't mention here) but it was way too high. Years ago Weight Watchers had always done the trick but lately didn't seem to be working as well. I came across a different kind of diet called the Lord's Table. I'm not sure why it's called that but basically 2 days a week you eat normal 3 meals, 2 days you each half size meals, 2 days a week you eat/drink only liquids like soup and juice and then 1 day of the week you fast. I thought that would be a little scary - how could I possibly not eat for 24 hours but some of the fast is while you are sleeping so it is really only the daytime hours of the next day. Surprisingly though it wasn't too bad. I didn't find myself very hungry either, probably enough fat on me to live off of, but bottom line in the approximate 6 weeks or so that I've been doing this I've lost 15.5lbs!!! I do think I've reached some plateaus with this program so if that continues I'm going to try to combine it with weight watchers one week and then back to the Lord's Table the next week and continue like that for awhile. I have about 50-60lbs to go but this is a great start to a thinner, more improved ME!
